Sarasota area beaches are the perfect location for your beach wedding

There are a number of Sarasota area beaches to choose from if you are planning a beach wedding. You can choose beaches on Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, Anna Marie Island or even south on the island of Venice.

Here are a few of my favorite beaches and areas for your beach wedding- Siesta Beach or as the locals refer to it, White Sands Beach and for good reason. This beach is world-famous for the talc-like sand. It is hard to explain until you have experience it on your toes!

As one of the more well-know Sarasota are beaches, this beach is public. It is a very busy beach during the tourist season, so don't expect a private wedding ceremony should you choose this as a location. There is a Pavilion, restrooms, charcoal grills and picnic tables. It is close to Siesta Village.

Directly across the street Siesta Key Suites is located. This is an adorable group of older cottages with swimming pools and lots of tropical foliage where your guests can stay. Very convenient to have your ceremony right across the street. A short distance in the village, you will find Siesta Beach Resort This is a terrific location right in the heart of Siesta Village.

Crescent Beach which is an extension of Siesta Beach is a wide and wonderful beach for walking. It also has several locations for your guests to stay. Sea Shell Condominiums offer a perfect location for your guests to stay and you can get married on this beach. They allow tents there and you can have your whole wedding celebration at this one spot. They are friendly, easy to work with and love beach weddings!

Turtle Beach is also one of Sarasota area beaches, a public beach it is located at the southern tip of Siesta Key. It is a much quieter beach area. It does not share that beautiful baby powder sand, but it does have much more privacy. There is a pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables and grills. It also has the unique feature of a public boat launch.

Going south for Sarasota area beaches, we come to Nokomis Beach which is a public beach located on Casey Key. This beach is never crowded. There are several small hotels located at the south end of Casey Key, if you are considering a smaller, intimate wedding. Beautiful location.

Attached to Nokomis Beach is the North Jetty Beach. It has free parking and large park with picnic tables and restrooms. It is a great spot for boat watching and one of the areas better surfing spots. Lots of photo opportunities here with the awesome jetty. It is close to the hotels, motels and apartment efficiencies on Casey Key.

Even further south, we cannot forget the Caspersen Beach located on Venice Island. The is the best beach for finding prehistoric shark's teeth. It is a very quiet beach with free parking, picnic tables and restrooms. Beautiful picture opportunities and a great spot for a wedding on the beach.

Heading northward and looking at Sarasota area beaches, we come to Lido Beach which is located on Lido Key and very close to the famous St.Armands circle. In fact, you have to drive through St. Armands to get to Lido Key. What a great place for shopping and full of lots of wonderful restaurants like

Lido Beach is a great spot for your beach wedding, there are some wonderful places to host your wedding- The Lido Beach Resort has a perfect spot for a ceremony on the beach, rooms for your guests and back up space as well as indoor accommodations for a wedding reception. Your guests will love this location.
