A pirate theme wedding - A treasure of a wedding celebration!

A pirate theme wedding celebration - what fun!

So you want to sail the seven seas together in search of fame andfortune with your mate?

Tie your beach wedding together with this theme by adding sailing ships and treasure chests. Fun centerpieces would be cardboard treasure chests flowing over with fake gems, chocolate covered gold coins, beads, and some fake gold plastic trinkets.

And of course, a parrot in visible sight....

If your reception is on the beach, you may be able to get a hold of some old wooden barrels. Line the barrels with plastic and fill with ice. They will make great coolers for beer and wine. A help yourself bar would be in order for a casual event as this.

Sailing maps and charts can be hung on the walls. Treasure maps would be fun on the dining tables as an overlay.

Use colors such as black, red and gold. Get eye patches and some pirate hats for your guests to wear, especially for pictures. How about dressing the ring bearer up as a little pirate? Too cute!!

Think tropical for your pirate wedding - palm fronds on the buffet tables, a tiki hut for the bar, palm trees in pots.

A large schooner model or pirate ship if you can find one, would look great as a centerpiece on the food table or head table. Fake telescopes on the guest tables

Candles on the tables of a nautical theme.

Wedding favors could be candy coins in velvet bags in black and red.

A themed rum drink for the bar and all pirates love shots! Have personalized shot glasses for wedding favors.

Have your celebration on a yacht!
