How about a wedding invitation with silhouettes of the two of you sitting on Adirondack chairs side by side, holding hands against a beautiful sunset on the beach?After a wedding on the beach, maybe a reception in a tent on or near the beach would be perfect. Or if you are lucky enough to have a grassy area near the beach, set up your reception on the grass. A nautical wedding lends itself well to a maritime theme. Lighthouses as decorations for the table tops and buffet tables, boats, buoys, lobster pots, ship lanterns, wood pilings.
A true New England clambake would fit the bill for food. Steamer clams, Lobsters with drawn butter, corn on the cob and boiled red potatoes! Picnic tables would be great! Go with maritime colors, navy blue, gold - add red. If you could find a boat club or sailing club for your reception, that would work well. How about lobster lollipops for wedding favors?
