Unique Beach Wedding Toppers

Finding unique beach wedding toppers to accent your beach wedding cake is not easy. There are hundreds of websites and businesses out there selling the same things.

After years of working with beach brides, I realized there was a need for unique, out-of-the-ordinary, beach wedding accessories. This is how the story goes; A friend of mine asked me to find her something unusual for the top of her beach theme wedding cake. She wanted a topper that would be unique, beach themed and a piece that would become a keepsake. So, frustrated artist that I am, I went shelling at the local beach and got to work designing her a cake topper. And so it happened - she was delighted, guests loved it, people started asking me to build them a topper and my second business was born...... Beach Weddings by Donna





In case you have not guessed it, I am a huge fan of seashells. I love using seashell beach decorating ideas in any possible way for a beach theme wedding. So with that being said, beach wedding toppers for a wedding cake that is themed is perfect. I never tire of seeing the different ways that cake designers can incorporate shells into the design of a wedding cake.

The designs can be simple or elaborate, but always in keeping with your tropical theme.

I love this wedding cake and the simple beach topper that adores it. I really like the way they did one layer in white and the other two in aqua with a simple design of waves carried through.

The base of this wedding cake is decorating with sugar sand and it reminds me of the gorgeous white sand on the Best Florida Beaches. The base has white chocolate starfish just placed around the bottom of the wedding cake. Chocolate seashells make fantastic beach wedding toppers.

Remember, you do not want to use REAL seashells on your wedding cake. They are not what you would consider safe for food quality. They are fine for decoration on the cake table or around the base. But, rely on Chocolate seashells for your cake topper or sugar shells that your wedding cake baker will make for you.
