Sarasota-wedding-venues

Looking for Sarasota-wedding-venues? Whether you are local or planning a destination wedding in the Sarasota area, my experience is first hand with these wedding venues.

Many couples dream of a beach wedding followed by a reception on the beach. Other couples love the idea of a beach wedding ceremony, especially with the photo opportunities, but would prefer an indoor reception. You can choose from a wide variety of Sarasota wedding venues for your party. Depending on the time of year, it can certainly make good sense to choose a inside location. We have beautiful Sarasota wedding venues for your wedding reception in the Sarasota,Venice and Bradenton area for you to choose from. The tropical foliage at so many of Florida wedding venues can add to that themed destination wedding you are dreaming of! They make for great photo opportunities.

Experience history and elegance with your choice of Sarasota wedding venues

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens This is at the top of my list for Sarasota Wedding Venues or Florida wedding venues. You can have a beach wedding ceremony and go to either the activity center for large weddings or to the mansion for a smaller wedding celebration. They even have a gorgeous wedding gazebo overlooking the bay if you would prefer to get married on the grounds. Your guests will love the tropical foliage and the photo opportunities are amazing. Everyone loves the old Banyan trees for pictures, not to speak of the gardens themselves. You will need to use an outside caterer that is approved through Selby. Chairs for your ceremony are provided by Selby if you get married there. Close to downtown and the beaches and located right on Sarasota Bay, this is a wonderful choice for a Florida wedding venue.

Crosley Museum This location is a beautiful example of Florida wedding venues. It is an old mansion on bay front in Sarasota. It is an amazing spot with a grassy area in the back if you wish to have an outside wedding celebration under a tent. There is also a lovely patio behind the home for a ceremony. It is a reflection of old Florida Spanish architecture and is very unique. Your guests will be very impressed. You must use an approved outside caterer and the beverages are arranged through the facility. All chairs, tables, linens, glassware and china must be rented. Well worth the extra expense for an over-the-top Florida wedding venue after your beach wedding or for your entire celebration. Very close to the Airport and convenient to hotels in the area for your guests to stay.

College Hall This is one of the loveliest Sarasot wedding venues and is located on the Campus of New College. Old Florida Spanish architecture, this is a another one-of-a-kind wedding venues. Outside space is available for ceremony or tent. The inside space has three good size rooms. No one room will hold more than 70 people. Outside approved vendors will need to be used. Rentals, etc. are not provided so they should be arranged through your caterer. Located on beautiful Sarasota Bay, what a perfect example of what Sarasota wedding venues are all about.

Ringling Museum This is one of the most beautiful Sarasota wedding venues by far. This Florida wedding venue is all about history in the Sarasota Florida area. Nothing can say more about the hey day of the Ringling family and their contribution to the area. It consists of the courtyard at the Ringling Museum and the Ca d'Zan which was the winter residence for John and Mable Ringling of the famous Ringling Brothers Circus and built in the 1920's. Tons of history here. It is very expensive but worth every penny you will pay to have an unbelievable wedding. You will find this Sarasota wedding venue on many of the vendor websites associated with Sarasota wedding venues. It is a popular location and considered on of the most sought after and gorgeous Florida wedding venues that exists today.

Phillippi Estate Phillippi Mansion is another amazing example of Sarasota wedding venues, located on Phillippi Creek in Sarasota, Florida. It is an old mansion with an outside patio and a wedding gazebo. It is located close to Siesta Key so you can definitely have a beach wedding and then come over to the mansion for your reception. Tents are allowed on the grounds and the local tent rental company has a tent that fits the back patio perfectly. You will have to use an outside caterer. I love this choice - it one of my favorite Sarasota wedding venues!

Chelsea Center The Chelsea Center is a beautiful banquet & special events center located right in Gulf Gate. Designed by award-winning architect Carl Abbott, it is truly a unique facility, with meticulously landscaped grounds in a lovely wooded setting. This is one of the larger facilities not attached to a resort or hotel, it can accommodate up to 400 guests.

Riverhouse Even though this venue is not located in Sarasota, this location certainly says what Florida wedding venues are all about. It is located just north of Sarasota in Bradenton, Florida on the beautiful Manatee River. This building literally sits in the middle of the water surrounded by water and has a gorgeous view of the boats in the marina and the river itself. It has a wrap-around porch with window views from all sides. The venue is easy to find and a unique spot to have your wedding reception. There is a list of approved vendors that you can use. The facility is not an elegant setting and does warrant some decorating in order to make it wedding quality. But, it has so many pluses that is worth the extra effort and added expense to be able to have the view.

Bayside Banquet Hall Here is another out of the way Florida wedding venue which is located north of Sarasota. You would never find this spot because it is tucked away in the old Cortez fishing village. Talk about stepping back in time. This spot is so unique. It is located right on the inland waterway. Very quiet and peaceful. There is a great outside patio area with an adorable Tiki bar directly on the water. You can have tables outside. The inside is casual and laid back. If you get married on the beach in either Anna Marie Island or Bradenton beach this is the perfect spot for a casual wedding reception. The building has a tin roof and has an open-air feel to it. It would work for a beachy theme for either a wedding or be a perfect location for a wedding rehearsal party if you are having a formal wedding.

South Florida Museum Located in historic downtown Bradenton, this is truly an unusual and unique Florida wedding venue. This is the home of "Snooty" one of the oldest Manatees in existence. They have an indoor area and a gorgeous courtyard in old Spanish architecture with a fountain in the middle. There is even an old chapel if you want o get married inside and have your reception in the courtyard. You will need to arrange for an outside caterer.
