Hotel Indigo A great example of Sarasota-resorts-hotels is this bright and cheery Indigo Hotel, It is conveniently located on US 41 across from the bay, not far from the airport, very close to downtown Sarasota and close to the keys in case you wish to have a beach wedding. Extremely nice people to work with, well-priced, they do have some small banquet space.

Siesta Beach Resort A wonderful location, right in the heart of Siesta Village and a stones throw from the Gulf of Mexico. Siesta Key public beach is right down the road - this is the beach with the gorgeous baby powder sand! Friendly, very accommodating staff will be there for you. High on my recommendation list of Sarasota-resorts-hotels.

Longboat Hilton The Longboat Hilton is a great example of Sarasota-resorts-hotels. It is located at the north end of Longboat Key. It is on the Gulf side of the Key and has a beautiful beach for weddings. It is a smaller Hilton property with just over 100 rooms. They have a gorgeous pool with lots of tropical foliage. They specialize in beach weddings at this resort. You can even have a tent on the beach here for an outside wedding celebration any time of year. There are also inside banquet rooms for a back-up plan. It is hard to find a better hotel-resort in Sarasota or the surrounding area for your beach wedding and accommodations for your guests.

Anna Maria Island Resorts These three sister resorts may be just what you are looking for. All three of the resorts are located on the beautiful island of Anna Maria and each resort is unique and wedding friendly.

Sarasota Hyatt Sarasota-resorts-hotels must include the Hyatt. This hotel has been here forever. It has just gone through a major renovation and is gorgeous. There are locations on property for an outside wedding among the lush tropical greenery or you can have a beach wedding - the keys are not far away. You can opt to have a wedding reception inside one of their many banquet spaces. It is conveniently located not far from downtown or the Sarasota airport or the beautiful Sarasota beaches.

The Ritz Carlton For the ultimate in luxury for Sarasota-resorts-hotels, the Ritz Carlton is on top of the list. The Ritz can provide elegance and first class accommodations for you and your guests. Truly over-the-top weddings happen here. They also have a Beach Club on Lido Beach where they have gorgeous beach weddings overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Save you money for this one!

As a wedding planner, I love doing weekend wedding events in the same area. It makes sense for guests traveling and will save you money on transportation costs. I love the Sun n' Sea on Longboat Key It is a great property, located directly on the Gulf of Mexico with a beautiful beach and gorgeous coconut palms as a backdrop for your wedding ceremony. The cottages are nestled under gorgeous trees and there is a grassy area that you can have a small reception or is perfect for a rehearsal dinner. The Hilton is next door and they specialize in Beach Weddings!

Holiday Inn Lido Beach The hotel is located across the street from Lido Beach. What a view from the gulf-side rooms! Brides can get married on the beach and have a climate-controlled reception inside.

A great spot for a beach wedding that is what I would term a "wedding friendly" spot, is the Seashell Condos on Siesta Key This high rise is located on beautiful Siesta Key and has a huge beach that can be tented if you and your guests are renting rooms. They also have tiki huts and grills. This is located on the south end of Siesta Key. It is close to some great restaurants, directly across the street is Captain Curts, a great spot for casual seafood. There is also shopping directly across the street and more restaurant choices close by.

If you and your wedding party or guests are looking for some TLC, down the street you will find one of the finest Spas. Treat yourself to the traditional Javanese Lulur which is a royal bridal ritual..it takes about 2 hours and is one of the most pampering experiences! Mandala Medi Spa

The Helmsley Sandcastle The Helmsley is located on Lido Beach. This property is like stepping back in time. Not plush but very casual and what Florida is all about. They have many choices for accommodations and your guests will love the location it is very close to St. Armand's Circle a favorite place for visitors for shopping and dining. The beach on Lido is not heavily traveled like the beaches on Siesta Key and great spot to let your guests vacation. They do have banquet facilities, but nothing with water view.
